ChurchSprints helps churches walk through daily devotional "sprints" together. It is run by Life of Faith Church in Irondale (Birmingham), Alabama. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and who can see it.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and/or mobile number, and the first and last name you give us. If you set a password, it is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
- Your mobile number (only if you choose to sign in with one): we use it to text you sign-in codes and, if your church uses Planning Center, to find you in your church's records (see below). We don't send other texts, and your church's leaders don't see it.
- Your church's records: if your church connects its Planning Center, we look up your verified mobile number or email in your church's Planning Center People and save which person you are there, so your church knows who joined. When you first sign in, we may show the name your church has on file so you can confirm it's you; if several people share your number or email, we show their names so you can pick yours. If you have a profile photo there, we also show it to you and to your church's leaders in ChurchSprints (we keep only its address, and follow any change you make in Church Center). We don't copy anything else from your church's records, and this doesn't change what you can see.
- How you sign in: if you choose Google, Apple, or Planning Center, we receive your name and email from them. With Planning Center we also receive your Planning Center person ID and your church's name and ID there. We don't receive your passwords for those services or anything else from your accounts.
- Your sprint activity: which sprints you join, which days you mark complete, which daily steps you check off, and whether you follow the challenge as an individual, couple, or family.
- Church leaders: if you help run a church on ChurchSprints, we record your role (for example, church admin).
- Requests from churches: if you ask to bring ChurchSprints to your church, the church name, your name, role, email, and message.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't show ads.
- We don't use analytics or advertising trackers. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in and remember which church page you last opened.
- We don't ask for your address, birthday, or payment details, and we ask for a phone number only if you choose to sign in with one.
Who can see your information
- Your church's leaders (the admins your church chooses) can see your name, email, which of their sprints you joined, and your progress, so they can encourage you. You are told this when you join a sprint.
- Other members can't see your name, your progress, or that you joined.
- ChurchSprints administrators can see account information to run and support the service.
Services we use
We use a small number of providers to run ChurchSprints: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (sending sign-in codes and account emails), and Twilio (texting sign-in codes), and, for churches that connect it, Planning Center (looking you up in your church's records). Daily videos are played from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Planning Center, their own privacy policies apply to your use of their sign-in.
Keeping your information
Your sprints stay available to you after a sprint ends, so you can always go back to them. That means we keep your account and progress until you ask us to close it. To see what we have, correct it, or close your account, email info@lof.church. When we close an account, we remove your name and email and stop you from signing in; anonymous progress counts may remain in your church's totals.
Young people
ChurchSprints is meant for people 13 and older. Families take part through a parent's account.
